יָלַד yâlad · H3205 · to bear, to father, to beget
יָלַד (yâlad, H3205) denotes the concrete act of bearing/begetting offspring, while γένεσις (génesis, G1078) abstracts to the concept/event of nativity itself or the broader notion of origin/nature.
תּוֹלְדָה tôwlᵉdâh · H8435 · order of birth, line, genealogy
Hebrew תּוֹלְדָה and Greek γένεσις both denote genealogical record, lineage account, or origin narrative; the LXX regularly renders תּוֹלְדָה formulae (e.g., 'these are the generations of...') with γένεσις, establishing direct translation equivalence for this technical usage in narrative contexts.
