ἄσημος ásēmos · G767 · low, insignificant, inferior
Both terms denote low or insignificant social standing, converging on the sense of being ignoble or of no distinction. The proposed nuance — noble lineage versus a lack of distinguishing marks — is a real distinction that does not undermine the underlying convergence around ignoble or insignificant status.
