豎桿、榫頭、橫檔
聖經中的器物
每個支架都固定到很重的金屬底座上（參底座、卯眼 (base, stand, socket, mortise)）。支架由兩根木製的豎桿組成，每根豎桿長5米（16.5英呎）。這些豎桿的頂部、中部和底部附近都有木橫檔相互聯結。每根豎桿都有一小段延伸到最底下的橫檔以下，就像是支架的支腳。兩個支腳（稱為榫頭）插入金屬底座相應的卯眼內。
