How it’s used
Every occurrence, grouped by the words it is grammatically related to.
When two words share a role, as in “Paul and Barnabas said”, the verse appears under each, so a section’s counts can add up to more than the number of occurrences.

- This conjunction introduces a causal clause explaining the reason for a preceding statement, used of the master in Jesus' parable forgiving his slave's debt because he pleaded for mercy — "I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me" (Matthew 18:32), and of Mary's question to the angel about how she could conceive, since she is a virgin — "How will this be, since I am a virgin?" (Luke 1:34).
