Jesus before Pilate
1Early in the morning the chief priests with the elders, scribes, and the entire Council immediately held a consultation; and they bound Jesus and led Him away, and turned Him over to Pilate. 2Pilate questioned Him: “So You are the King of the Jews?” And He answered him, “It is as you say.” 3And the chief priests started accusing Him of many things. 4But Pilate questioned Him again, saying, “Do You offer nothing in answer? See how many charges they are bringing against You!” 5But Jesus said nothing further in answer, so Pilate was amazed.
1一到早晨，祭司長和長老文士全公會的人大家商議，就把耶穌捆綁解去，交給彼拉多。2彼拉多問他說，你是猶太人的王麼；耶穌回答說，你說的是。3祭司長告他許多的事。4彼拉多又問他說，你看，他們告你這麼多的事，你甚麼都不回答麼。5耶穌仍不回答，以致彼拉多覺得希奇。
6Now at the Passover Feast he used to release for them any one prisoner whom they requested. 7And the one named Barabbas had been imprisoned with the rebels who had committed murder in the revolt. 8And the crowd went up and began asking Pilate to do as he had been accustomed to do for them. 9Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?” 10For he was aware that the chief priests had handed Him over because of envy. 11But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to ask him to release Barabbas for them instead. 12And responding again, Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?” 13They shouted back, “Crucify Him!” 14But Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has He done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify Him!” 15Intent on satisfying the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas for them, and after having Jesus flogged, he handed Him over to be crucified.
6每逢這節期，巡撫照眾人所求的，釋放一個囚犯給他們。7有一個人名叫巴拉巴，和作亂的人一同捆綁；他們作亂的時候，曾殺過人。8眾人上去求巡撫，照常例給他們辦。9彼拉多說，你們要我釋放猶太人的王給你們麼。10他原曉得，祭司長是因為嫉妒，纔把耶穌解了來。11只是祭司長挑唆眾人，寧可釋放巴拉巴給他們。12彼拉多又說，那麼樣你們所稱為猶太人的王，我怎麼辦他呢。13他們又喊著說，把他釘十字架。14彼拉多說，為甚麼呢，他作了甚麼惡事呢。他們便極力的喊著說，把他釘十字架。15彼拉多要叫眾人喜悅，就釋放巴拉巴給他們，將耶穌鞭打了，交給人釘十字架。
Jesus Is Mocked
16Now the soldiers took Him away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium), and they called together the whole Roman cohort. 17And they dressed Him in purple, and after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on Him; 18and they began saluting Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!” 19And they repeatedly beat His head with a reed and spit on Him, and kneeling, they bowed down before Him. 20And after they had mocked Him, they took the purple cloak off Him and put His own garments on Him. And they led Him out to crucify Him.
16兵丁把耶穌帶進衙門院裏；叫齊了全營的兵。17他們給他穿上紫袍，又用荊棘編作冠冕給他戴上；18就慶賀他說，恭喜猶太人的王阿。19又拿一根葦子，打他的頭，吐唾沫在他臉上，屈膝拜他。20戲弄完了，就給他脫了紫袍，仍穿上他自己的衣服，帶他出去，要釘十字架。
21And they compelled a passer-by coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene (the father of Alexander and Rufus), to carry His cross.
21有一個古利奈人西門，就是亞力山大和魯孚的父親，從鄉下來，經過那地方；他們就勉強他同去，好背著耶穌的十字架。
The Crucifixion
22Then they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull. 23And they tried to give Him wine mixed with myrrh; but He did not take it. 24And they crucified Him, and divided up His garments among themselves, casting lots for them to decide what each man would take. 25Now it was the third hour when they crucified Him. 26The inscription of the charge against Him read, “THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
22他們帶耶穌到了各各他地方，各各他繙出來，就是髑髏地，23拿沒藥調和的酒給耶穌，他卻不受。24於是將他釘在十字架上，拈鬮分他的衣服，看是誰得甚麼。25釘他在十字架上，是巳初的時候。26在上面有他的罪狀，寫的是猶太人的王。
27And they crucified two rebels with Him, one on His right and one on His left. 29Those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, shaking their heads and saying, “Ha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, 30save Yourself by coming down from the cross!” 31In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking Him among themselves and saying, “He saved others; He cannot save Himself! 32“Let this Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him.
27他們又把兩個強盜，和他同釘十字架；一個在右邊，一個在左邊。有古卷在此有28這就應驗了經上的話說，他被列在罪犯之中。29從那裏經過的人辱罵他，搖著頭，說，咳，你這拆毀聖殿，三日又建造起來的；30可以救自己從十字架上下來罷。31祭司長和文士也是這樣戲弄他，彼此說，他救了別人，不能救自己。32以色列的王基督，現在可以從十字架上下來，叫我們看見就信了。那和他同釘的人也是譏誚他。
33When the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour. 34At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “ELOI, ELOI, LEMA SABAKTANEI?” which is translated, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?” 35And when some of the bystanders heard Him, they began saying, “Look! He is calling for Elijah!” 36And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying, “Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.” 37But Jesus let out a loud cry, and died. 38And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39And when the centurion, who was standing right in front of Him, saw that He died in this way, he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of God!”
33從午正到申初遍地都黑暗了。34申初的時候，耶穌大聲喊著說，以羅伊，以羅伊，拉馬，撒巴各大尼；繙出來就是我的神，我的神，為甚麼離棄我。35旁邊站著的人，有的聽見就說，看哪，他叫以利亞呢。36有一個人跑去，把海絨蘸滿了醋，綁在葦子上，送給他喝，說，且等著，看以利亞來不來把他取下。37耶穌大聲喊叫，氣就斷了。38殿裏的幔子，從上到下裂為兩半。39對面站著的百夫長，看見耶穌這樣喊叫有古卷無喊叫二字斷氣，就說，這人真是神的兒子。
40Now there were also some women watching from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the Less and Joses, and Salome. 41When He was in Galilee, they used to follow Him and serve Him; and there were many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.
40還有些婦女，遠遠的觀看；內中有抹大拉的馬利亞，又有小雅各和約西的母親馬利亞，並有撒羅米。41就是耶穌在加利利的時候，跟隨他，服事他的那些人，還有同耶穌上耶路撒冷的好些婦女在那裏觀看。
Jesus Is Buried
42When evening had already come, since it was the preparation day, that is, the day before the Sabbath, 43Joseph of Arimathea came, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself also waiting for the kingdom of God; and he gathered up courage and went in before Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. 44Now Pilate wondered if He was dead by this time, and summoning the centurion, he questioned him as to whether He was already dead. 45And after learning this from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph. 46Joseph bought a linen cloth, took Him down, wrapped Him in the linen cloth, and laid Him in a tomb which had been cut out in the rock; and he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. 47Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses were watching to see where He was laid.
42到了晚上，因為這是豫備日，就是安息日的前一日，43有亞利馬太的約瑟前來，他是尊貴的議士，也是等候神國的；他放膽進去見彼拉多，求耶穌的身體。44彼拉多詫異耶穌已經死了；便叫百夫長來，問他耶穌死了久不久。45既從百夫長得知實情，就把耶穌的屍首賜給約瑟。46約瑟買了細麻布，把耶穌取下來，用細麻布裹好，安放在磐石中鑿出來的墳墓裏；又輥過一塊石頭來擋住墓門。47抹大拉的馬利亞，和約西的母親馬利亞，都看見安放他的地方。
