橄欖油
聖經中的器物
橄欖油是從橄欖樹的果實中榨取出來的一種油。
用途
把橄欖樹的果實壓碎，即可取得裡面所含的油。後續各道榨取所產橄欖油的品質逐漸下降。橄欖油可作食物、藥物（參油、油膏 (oil, ointment)），以及油燈的燃料（參油燈和燈心 (Oil lamp and wick)）。把橄欖油與香料混合，還可以製作香油（參香、香水 (perfumes)）。在會幕和聖殿中，橄欖油還與素祭一同獻上（如利未記 第2章）。橄欖油也會抹在盾牌上（參小盾、小圓盾 (small shield, buckler)），或用來膏抹一些物件或人，使其分別為聖（參膏油 (anointing oil)）。關於聖膏油的成分，參。
