橄榄油
圣经中的器物
橄榄油是从橄榄树的果实中榨取出来的一种油。
用途
把橄榄树的果实压碎，即可取得里面所含的油。后续各道榨取所产橄榄油的品质逐渐下降。橄榄油可作食物、药物（参油、油膏 (oil, ointment)），以及油灯的燃料（参油灯和灯心 (Oil lamp and wick)）。把橄榄油与香料混合，还可以制作香油（参香、香水 (perfumes)）。在会幕和圣殿中，橄榄油还与素祭一同献上（如利未记 第2章）。橄榄油也会抹在盾牌上（参小盾、小圆盾 (small shield, buckler)），或用来膏抹一些物件或人，使其分别为圣（参膏油 (anointing oil)）。关于圣膏油的成分，参。
