梭
聖經中的器物
梭子是把「緯線」（「橫線」）從織布機的一側牽引到另一側的小工具。梭子在織布機的「經線」之間快速穿過，將上面繫著的緯線拉直。經線在緯線的上方和下方將其壓緊，從而固定住緯線。這樣，布就又增加了一根線。熟練的織布工能夠讓梭子不停地來回穿越，很快地增加緯線，直到織成一整匹布。參布料生產 (cloth manufacture) 和那裡的插圖。
