Death Plot and Anointing
1過兩天，是逾越節，又是除酵節；祭司長和文士，想法子怎麼用詭計捉拿耶穌殺他；2只是說，當節的日子不可，恐怕百姓生亂。
1Now the Passover and Festival of Unleavened Bread were two days away; and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to arrest Him covertly and kill Him; 2for they were saying, “Not during the festival, otherwise there will be a riot of the people.”
3耶穌在伯大尼長大痲瘋的西門家裏坐席的時候，有一個女人，拿著一玉瓶至貴的真哪噠香膏來，打破玉瓶，把膏澆在耶穌的頭上。4有幾個人心中很不喜悅，說，何用這樣枉費香膏呢。5這香膏可以賣三十多兩銀子賙濟窮人；他們就向那女人生氣。6耶穌說，由他罷；為甚麼難為他呢；他在我身上作的是一件美事。7因為常有窮人和你們同在，要向他們行善，隨時都可以；只是你們不常有我。8他所作的，是盡他所能的；他是為我安葬的事，把香膏豫先澆在我身上。9我實在告訴你們，普天之下，無論在甚麼地方傳這福音，也要述說這女人所作的以為記念。
3While He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the Leper, He was reclining at the table, and a woman came with an alabaster vial of very expensive perfume of pure nard. She broke the vial and poured the perfume over His head. 4But there were some indignantly remarking to one another, “Why has this perfume been wasted? 5“For this perfume could have been sold for over three hundred denarii, and the money given to the poor.” And they were scolding her. 6But Jesus said, “Leave her alone! Why are you bothering her? She has done a good deed for Me. 7“For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good to them; but you do not always have Me. 8“She has done what she could; she has anointed My body beforehand for the burial. 9“Truly I say to you, wherever the gospel is preached in the entire world, what this woman has done will also be told in memory of her.”
10十二門徒之中有一個加略人猶大，去見祭司長，要把耶穌交給他們。11他們聽見就歡喜，又應許給他銀子；他就尋思如何得便，把耶穌交給他們。
10Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went off to the chief priests in order to betray Him to them. 11They were delighted when they heard this, and promised to give him money. And he began seeking how to betray Him at an opportune time.
The Last Passover
12除酵節的第一天，就是宰逾越羊羔的那一天，門徒對耶穌說，你喫逾越節的筵席，要我們往那裏去豫備呢。13耶穌就打發兩個門徒，對他們說，你們進城去，必有人拿著一瓶水，迎面而來；你們就跟著他。14他進那家去，你們就對那家的主人說，夫子說，客房在那裏，我與門徒好在那裏喫逾越節的筵席。15他必指給你們擺設整齊的一間大樓，你們就在那裏為我們豫備。16門徒出去，進了城，所遇見的，正如耶穌所說的；他們就豫備了逾越節的筵席。
12On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples said to Him, “Where do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?” 13And He sent two of His disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him; 14and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ 15“And he himself will show you a large upstairs room furnished and ready; prepare for us there.” 16The disciples left and came to the city, and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
17到了晚上，耶穌和十二個門徒都來了。18他們坐席正喫的時候，耶穌說，我實在告訴你們，你們中間有一個與我同喫的人要賣我了。19他們就憂愁起來，一個一個的問他說，是我麼。20耶穌對他們說，是十二個門徒中同我蘸手在盤子裏的那個人。21人子必要去世，正如經上指著他所寫的；但賣人子的人有禍了；那人不生在世上倒好。
17When it was evening He came with the twelve. 18And as they were reclining at the table and eating, Jesus said, “Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me—one who is eating with Me.” 19They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one, “Surely not I?” 20But He said to them, “It is one of the twelve, the one who dips bread with Me in the bowl. 21“For the Son of Man is going away just as it is written about Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”
The Lord’s Supper
22他們喫的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝了福，就擘開遞給他們，說，你們拿著喫；這是我的身體。23又拿起杯來，祝謝了，遞給他們；他們都喝了。24耶穌說，這是我立約的血，為多人流出來的。25我實在告訴你們，我不再喝這葡萄汁，直到我在神的國裏，喝新的那日子。
22While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is My body.” 23And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24And He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many. 25“Truly I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine again, until that day when I drink it, new, in the kingdom of God.”
26他們唱了詩，就出來，往橄欖山去。
26And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
27耶穌對他們說，你們都要跌倒了；因為經上記著說，我要擊打牧人，羊就分散了。28但我復活以後，要在你們以先往加利利去。29彼得說，眾人雖然跌倒，我總不能。30耶穌對他說，我實在告訴你，就在今天夜裏，雞叫兩遍以先，你要三次不認我。31彼得卻極力的說，我就是必須和你同死，也總不能不認你；眾門徒都是這樣說。
27And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, because it is written: ‘I WILL STRIKE THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP WILL BE SCATTERED.’ 28“But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.” 29But Peter said to Him, “Even if they all fall away, yet I will not!” 30And Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you, that this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you yourself will deny Me three times.” 31But Peter repeatedly said insistently, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all were saying the same thing as well.
Jesus in Gethsemane
32他們來到一個地方，名叫客西馬尼；耶穌對門徒說，你們坐在這裏，等我禱告。33於是帶著彼得，雅各，約翰同去，就驚恐起來，極其難過。34對他們說，我心裏甚是憂傷，幾乎要死；你們在這裏等候儆醒。35他就稍往前走，俯伏在地禱告說，倘若可行，便叫那時候過去。36他說，阿爸，父阿，在你凡事都能；求你將這杯撤去；然而不要從我的意思，只要從你的意思。37耶穌回來，見他們睡著了，就對彼得說，西門你睡覺麼，不能儆醒片時麼。38總要儆醒禱告，免得入了迷惑；你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。39耶穌又去禱告，說的話還是與先前一樣。40又來，見他們睡著了，因為他們的眼睛甚是困倦；他們也不知道怎麼回答。41第三次來，對他們說，現在你們仍然睡覺安歇罷；罷或作麼彀了，時候到了；看哪，人子被賣在罪人手裏了。42起來，我們走罷；看哪，那賣我的人近了。
32They came to a place named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here until I have prayed.” 33And He took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled. 34And He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.” 35And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began praying that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by. 36And He was saying, “Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.” 37And He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? 38“Keep watching and praying, so that you will not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 39And again He went away and prayed, saying the same words. 40And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to say in reply to Him. 41And He came the third time, and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough. The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42“Get up, let’s go; behold, the one who is betraying Me is near!”
Betrayal and Arrest
43說話之間，忽然那十二個門徒裏的猶大來了，並有許多人帶著刀棒，從祭司長和文士並長老那裏與他同來。44賣耶穌的人曾給他們一個暗號，說，我與誰親嘴，誰就是他；你們把他拿住，牢牢靠靠的帶去。45猶大來了，隨即到耶穌跟前說，拉比，便與他親嘴。46他們就下手拿住他。47旁邊站著的人，有一個拔出刀來，將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他一個耳朵。48耶穌對他們說，你們帶著刀棒，出來拿我，如同拿強盜麼。49我天天教訓人，同你們在殿裏，你們並沒有拿我；但這事成就，為要應驗經上的話。50門徒都離開他逃走了。
43And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came up, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs who were from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders. 44Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the one; arrest Him and lead Him away under guard.” 45And after coming, Judas immediately went to Him and said, “Rabbi!” and kissed Him. 46And they laid hands on Him and arrested Him. 47But one of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear. 48And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me, as you would against a man inciting a revolt? 49“Every day I was with you within the temple grounds teaching, and you did not arrest Me; but this has taken place so that the Scriptures will be fulfilled.” 50And His disciples all left Him and fled.
51有一個少年人，赤身披著一塊麻布，跟隨耶穌，眾人就捉拿他，52他卻丟了麻布，赤身逃走了。
51A young man was following Him, wearing nothing but a linen sheet over his naked body; and they seized him. 52But he pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked.
Jesus before His Accusers
53他們把耶穌帶到大祭司那裏；又有眾祭司長和長老並文士，都來和大祭司一同聚集。54彼得遠遠的跟著耶穌，一直進入大祭司的院裏，和差役一同坐在火光裏烤火。55祭司長和全公會尋找見證控告耶穌，要治死他。卻尋不著。56因為有好些人作假見證告他，只是他們的見證，各不相合。57又有幾個人站起來，作假見證告他說，58我們聽見他說，我要拆毀這人手所造的殿，三日內就另造一座不是人手所造的。59他們就是這麼作見證，也是各不相合。60大祭司起來，站在中間，問耶穌說，你甚麼都不回答麼。這些人作見證告你的是甚麼呢。61耶穌卻不言語，一句也不回答。大祭司又問他說，你是那當稱頌者的兒子基督不是。62耶穌說，我是；你們必看見人子，坐在那權能者的右邊，駕著天上的雲降臨。63大祭司就撕開衣服，說，我們何必再用見證人呢。64你們已經聽見他這僭妄的話了；你們的意見如何；他們都定他該死的罪。65就有人吐唾沫在他臉上，又蒙著他的臉，用拳頭打他，對他說，你說豫言罷；差役接過他來用手掌打他。
53They led Jesus away to the high priest; and all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes gathered together. 54And Peter had followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest; and he was sitting with the officers and warming himself at the fire. 55Now the chief priests and the entire Council were trying to obtain testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and they were not finding any. 56For many people were giving false testimony against Him, and so their testimonies were not consistent. 57And then some stood up and began giving false testimony against Him, saying, 58“We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that was made by hands, and in three days I will build another, made without hands.’” 59And not even in this respect was their testimony consistent. 60And then the high priest stood up and came forward and questioned Jesus, saying, “Do You not offer any answer for what these men are testifying against You?” 61But He kept silent and did not offer any answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and said to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” 62And Jesus said, “I am; and you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” 63Tearing his clothes, the high priest said, “What further need do we have of witnesses? 64“You have heard the blasphemy; how does it seem to you?” And they all condemned Him as deserving of death. 65And some began to spit on Him, and to blindfold Him, and to beat Him with their fists and say to Him, “Prophesy!” Then the officers took custody of Him and slapped Him in the face.
Peter’s Denials
66彼得在下邊，院子裏，來了大祭司的一個使女；67見彼得烤火，就看著他說，你素來也是同拿撒勒人耶穌一夥的。68彼得卻不承認，說，我不知道，也不明白你說的是甚麼；於是出來，到了前院；雞就叫了。69那使女看見他，又對旁邊站著的人說，這也是他們一黨的。70彼得又不承認。過了不多的時候，旁邊站著的人又對彼得說，你真是他們一黨的；因為你是加利利人。71彼得就發咒起誓的說，我不認得你們說的這個人。72立時雞叫了第二遍；彼得想起耶穌對他所說的話，雞叫兩遍以先，你要三次不認我。思想起來，就哭了。
66And while Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the slave women of the high priest came, 67and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You were with Jesus the Nazarene as well.” 68But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are talking about.” And he went out onto the porch. 69The slave woman saw him, and began once more to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them!” 70But again he denied it. And after a little while the bystanders were again saying to Peter, “You really are one of them, for you are a Galilean as well.” 71But he began to curse himself and to swear, “I do not know this Man of whom you speak!” 72And immediately a rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had made the remark to him, “Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he hurried on and began to weep.
