성경의 기물

경문은 구약 성경 구절을 담은 작은 가죽 상자였다.

쓰임

유대 남자들은 기도할 때 이 작은 용기를 이마와, 심장 가까운 왼쪽 위팔에 매었다. 그들은 ; ; 을 문자 그대로 해석하여 그에 순종하는 뜻으로 이렇게 했다.
