窰、爐

聖經中的器物

窰是用來冶煉礦石或燒製陶瓷器皿的爐子。這種爐子用硬化黏土或磚製成，各類窰的大小和形狀差異非常大。另參爐、火爐、爐灶 (oven)。

用途

在自然界中，幾乎所有金屬都與其他礦物質結合存在。要除去其他礦物質，需要在窰內將礦石加熱到非常高的溫度，以進行化學處理。這種加熱室也用於燒磚或陶器，以及其他目的。
