기름 붓는 뿔, 기름병

기름 붓는 뿔이나 기름병은 감람유를 담는 작은 그릇이었다. 짐승의 뿔이나 다른 재료로 만들었다. 뿔은 대개 속을 파내야 했다.

어떤 사람을 왕이나 제사장의 직분에 세우는 의식에는 그의 머리에 감람유를 붓는 일이 들어 있었다(관유 참조). 기름은 이 특별한 의식에만 쓰는 기름 붓는 뿔이나 기름병에 담아 두었다가 거기서 부었다.
