The Coming Peace and Prosperity of Zion
1Then the word of the LORD of armies came, saying, 2“The LORD of armies says this: ‘I am exceedingly jealous for Zion, yes, with great wrath I am jealous for her.’ 3“The LORD says this: ‘I will return to Zion and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of armies will be called the Holy Mountain.’ 4“The LORD of armies says this: ‘Old men and old women will again sit in the public squares of Jerusalem, each person with his staff in his hand because of age. 5‘And the public squares of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its squares.’ 6“The LORD of armies says this: ‘If it is too difficult in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, will it also be too difficult in My sight?’ declares the LORD of armies. 7“The LORD of armies says this: ‘Behold, I am going to save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west; 8and I will bring them back and they will live in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God in truth and righteousness.’
1萬軍之耶和華的話臨到我說：2「萬軍之耶和華如此說：我為錫安心裏極其火熱，我為她火熱，向她的仇敵發烈怒。3耶和華如此說：我現在回到錫安，要住在耶路撒冷中。耶路撒冷必稱為誠實的城，萬軍之耶和華的山必稱為聖山。4萬軍之耶和華如此說：將來必有年老的男女坐在耶路撒冷街上，因為年紀老邁就手拿柺杖。5城中街上必滿有男孩女孩玩耍。6萬軍之耶和華如此說：到那日，這事在餘剩的民眼中看為希奇，在我眼中也看為希奇嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。7萬軍之耶和華如此說：我要從東方從西方救回我的民。8我要領他們來，使他們住在耶路撒冷中。他們要作我的子民，我要作他們的神，都憑誠實和公義。」
9“The LORD of armies says this: ‘Let your hands be strong, you who are listening in these days to these words from the mouth of the prophets, those who spoke in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of armies was laid, so that the temple might be built. 10‘For before those days there was no wage for man nor any wage for animal; and for him who went out or came in there was no peace because of his enemies, and I sent all the people against one another. 11‘But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,’ declares the LORD of armies. 12‘For there will be the seed of peace: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce, and the heavens will provide their dew; and I will give to the remnant of this people all these things as an inheritance. 13‘And it will come about that just as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you that you may become a blessing. Do not fear; let your hands be strong.’
9萬軍之耶和華如此說：「當建造萬軍之耶和華的殿，立根基之日的先知所說的話，現在你們聽見，應當手裏強壯。10那日以先，人得不著雇價，牲畜也是如此；且因敵人的緣故，出入之人不得平安，乃因我使眾人互相攻擊。11但如今，我待這餘剩的民必不像從前。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。12因為他們必平安撒種，葡萄樹必結果子，地土必有出產，天也必降甘露。我要使這餘剩的民享受這一切的福。13猶大家和以色列家啊，你們從前在列國中怎樣成為可咒詛的；照樣，我要拯救你們，使人稱你們為有福的或譯：使你們叫人得福。你們不要懼怕，手要強壯。
14“For this is what the LORD of armies says: ‘Just as I determined to do harm to you when your fathers provoked Me to anger,’ says the LORD of armies, ‘and I have not relented, 15so I have again determined in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear! 16‘These are the things which you shall do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace at your gates. 17‘Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another, and do not love perjury; for all these things are what I hate,’ declares the LORD.”
14萬軍之耶和華如此說：「你們列祖惹我發怒的時候，我怎樣定意降禍，並不後悔。15現在我照樣定意施恩與耶路撒冷和猶大家，你們不要懼怕。16你們所當行的是這樣：各人與鄰舍說話誠實，在城門口按至理判斷，使人和睦。17誰都不可心裏謀害鄰舍，也不可喜愛起假誓，因為這些事都為我所恨惡。這是耶和華說的。」
18Then the word of the LORD of armies came to me, saying, 19“The LORD of armies says this: ‘The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth months will become joy, jubilation, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.’
18萬軍之耶和華的話臨到我說：19「萬軍之耶和華如此說：四月、五月禁食的日子，七月、十月禁食的日子，必變為猶大家歡喜快樂的日子和歡樂的節期；所以你們要喜愛誠實與和平。」
20“The LORD of armies says this: ‘It will yet turn out that peoples will come, that is, the inhabitants of many cities. 21‘The inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying, “Let’s go at once to plead for the favor of the LORD, and to seek the LORD of armies; I also will go.” 22‘So many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek the LORD of armies in Jerusalem, and to plead for the favor of the LORD.’ 23“The LORD of armies says this: ‘In those days ten people from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”
20萬軍之耶和華如此說：「將來必有列國的人和多城的居民來到。21這城的居民必到那城，說：『我們要快去懇求耶和華的恩，尋求萬軍之耶和華；我也要去。』22必有列邦的人和強國的民來到耶路撒冷尋求萬軍之耶和華，懇求耶和華的恩。23萬軍之耶和華如此說：在那些日子，必有十個人從列國諸族原文是方言中出來，拉住一個猶大人的衣襟，說：『我們要與你們同去，因為我們聽見神與你們同在了。』」
