The Angel and the Little Scroll
1我又看見另有一位大力的天使，從天降下，披著雲彩，頭上有虹；臉面像日頭，兩腳像火柱；2他手裏拿著小書卷是展開的；他右腳踏海，左腳踏地；3大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫，呼喊完了，就有七雷發聲。4七雷發聲之後，我正要寫出來，就聽見從天上有聲音說，七雷所說的你要封上，不可寫出來。5我所看見的那踏海踏地的天使，向天舉起右手來，6指著那創造天和天上之物，地和地上之物，海和海中之物，直活到永永遠遠的，起誓說，不再有時日了；或作不再耽延了7但在第七位天使吹號發聲的時候，神的奧祕就成全了，正如神所傳給他僕人眾先知的佳音。
1I saw another strong angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the rainbow was on his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire; 2and he had in his hand a little scroll, which was open. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left on the land; 3and he cried out with a loud voice, as when a lion roars; and when he had cried out, the seven peals of thunder uttered their voices. 4When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken, and do not write them.” 5Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven, 6and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there will no longer be a delay, 7but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as He announced to His servants the prophets.
8我先前從天上所聽見的那聲音，又吩咐我說，你去把那踏海踏地之天使手中展開的小書卷取過來；9我就走到天使那裏，對他說，請你把小書卷給我；他對我說，你拿著喫盡了，便叫你肚子發苦，然而在你口中要甜如蜜。10我從天使手中把小書卷接過來，喫盡了；在我口中果然甜如蜜；喫了以後，肚子覺得發苦了。11天使原文作他們對我說，你必指著多民多國多方多王再說豫言。
8Then the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, “Go, take the scroll which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land.” 9And I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, “Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” 10I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. 11And they said to me, “You must prophesy again concerning many peoples, nations, languages, and kings.”
