1Ya TUHAN, Allah yang menyelamatkan aku, siang hari aku berseru-seru, pada waktu malam aku menghadap Engkau. 2Biarlah doaku datang ke hadapan-Mu, sendengkanlah telinga-Mu kepada teriakku; 3sebab jiwaku kenyang dengan malapetaka, dan hidupku sudah dekat dunia orang mati. 4Aku telah dianggap termasuk orang-orang yang turun ke liang kubur; aku seperti orang yang tidak berkekuatan. 5Aku harus tinggal di antara orang-orang mati, seperti orang-orang yang mati dibunuh, terbaring dalam kubur, yang tidak Kauingat lagi, sebab mereka terputus dari kuasa-Mu. 6Telah Kautaruh aku dalam liang kubur yang paling bawah, dalam kegelapan, dalam tempat yang dalam. 7Aku tertekan oleh panas murka-Mu, dan segala pecahan ombak-Mu Kautindihkan kepadaku. Sela 8Telah Kaujauhkan kenalan-kenalanku dari padaku, telah Kaubuat aku menjadi kekejian bagi mereka. Aku tertahan dan tidak dapat keluar; 9mataku merana karena sengsara. Aku telah berseru kepada-Mu, ya TUHAN, sepanjang hari, telah mengulurkan tanganku kepada-Mu.
1LORD, the God of my salvation,
I have cried out by day and in the night before You. 2Let my prayer come before You;
Incline Your ear to my cry! 3For my soul has had enough troubles,
And my life has approached Sheol. 4I am counted among those who go down to the pit;
I have become like a man without strength, 5Abandoned among the dead,
Like the slain who lie in the grave,
Whom You no longer remember,
And they are cut off from Your hand. 6You have put me in the lowest pit,
In dark places, in the depths. 7Your wrath has rested upon me,
And You have afflicted me with all Your waves.
Selah 8You have removed my acquaintances far from me;
You have made me an object of loathing to them;
I am shut up and cannot go out. 9My eye grows dim from misery;
I have called upon You every day, LORD;
I have spread out my hands to You.

10Apakah Kaulakukan keajaiban bagi orang-orang mati ? Masakan arwah bangkit untuk bersyukur kepada-Mu? Sela 11Dapatkah kasih-Mu diberitakan di dalam kubur, dan kesetiaan-Mu di tempat kebinasaan ? 12Diketahui orangkah keajaiban-keajaiban-Mu dalam kegelapan, dan keadilan-Mu di negeri segala lupa ?
10Will You perform wonders for the dead?
Or will the departed spirits rise and praise You?
Selah 11Will Your graciousness be declared in the grave,
Your faithfulness in Abaddon? 12Will Your wonders be made known in the darkness?
And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

13Tetapi aku ini, ya TUHAN, kepada-Mu aku berteriak minta tolong, dan pada waktu pagi doaku datang ke hadapan-Mu. 14Mengapa, ya TUHAN, Kaubuang aku, Kausembunyikan wajah-Mu dari padaku? 15Aku tertindas dan menjadi inceran maut sejak kecil, aku telah menanggung kengerian dari pada-Mu, aku putus asa. 16Kehangatan murka-Mu menimpa aku, kedahsyatan-Mu membungkamkan aku, 17mengelilingi aku seperti air banjir sepanjang hari, mengepung aku serentak. 18Telah Kaujauhkan dari padaku sahabat dan teman, kenalan-kenalanku adalah kegelapan.
13But I, LORD, have cried out to You for help,
And in the morning my prayer comes before You. 14LORD, why do You reject my soul?
Why do You hide Your face from me? 15I was miserable and about to die from my youth on;
I suffer Your terrors; I grow weary. 16Your burning anger has passed over me;
Your terrors have destroyed me. 17They have surrounded me like water all day long;
They have encircled me altogether. 18You have removed lover and friend far from me;
My acquaintances are in a hiding place.
