1Betapa disenangi tempat kediaman-Mu, ya TUHAN semesta alam ! 2Jiwaku hancur karena merindukan pelataran-pelataran TUHAN; hatiku dan dagingku bersorak-sorai kepada Allah yang hidup. 3Bahkan burung pipit telah mendapat sebuah rumah, dan burung layang-layang sebuah sarang, tempat menaruh anak-anaknya, pada mezbah-mezbah-Mu, ya TUHAN semesta alam, ya Rajaku dan Allahku ! 4Berbahagialah orang-orang yang diam di rumah-Mu, yang terus-menerus memuji-muji Engkau. LORD of armies! 2My soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the LORD;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. 3The bird also has found a house,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may put her young:
Your altars, LORD of armies,
My King and my God. 4Blessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are ever praising You.

5Berbahagialah manusia yang kekuatannya di dalam Engkau, yang berhasrat mengadakan ziarah! 6Apabila melintasi lembah Baka, mereka membuatnya menjadi tempat yang bermata air; bahkan hujan pada awal musim menyelubunginya dengan berkat. 7Mereka berjalan makin lama makin kuat, hendak menghadap Allah di Sion.

8Ya TUHAN, Allah semesta alam, dengarkanlah doaku, pasanglah telinga, ya Allah Yakub. Sela 9Lihatlah perisai kami, ya Allah, pandanglah wajah orang yang Kauurapi ! 10Sebab lebih baik satu hari di pelataran-Mu dari pada seribu hari di tempat lain; lebih baik berdiri di ambang pintu rumah Allahku dari pada diam di kemah-kemah orang fasik. 11Sebab TUHAN Allah adalah matahari dan perisai; kasih dan kemuliaan Ia berikan; Ia tidak menahan kebaikan dari orang yang hidup tidak bercela. 12Ya TUHAN semesta alam, berbahagialah manusia yang percaya kepada-Mu!

And look at the face of Your anointed. 10For a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than live in the tents of wickedness. 11For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD gives grace and glory;
He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity. 12LORD of armies,
Blessed is the person who trusts in You!
