For the music director. A Psalm of David.
1Berbahagialah orang yang memperhatikan orang lemah ! TUHAN akan meluputkan dia pada waktu celaka. 2TUHAN akan melindungi dia dan memelihara nyawanya, sehingga ia disebut berbahagia di bumi; Engkau takkan membiarkan dia dipermainkan musuhnya ! 3TUHAN membantu dia di ranjangnya waktu sakit; di tempat tidurnya Kaupulihkannya sama sekali dari sakitnya.
1Blessed is one who considers the helpless;
The LORD will save him on a day of trouble. 2The LORD will protect him and keep him alive,
And he will be called blessed upon the earth;
And do not turn him over to the desire of his enemies. 3The LORD will sustain him upon his sickbed;
In his illness, You restore him to health.

4Kalau aku, kataku: "TUHAN, kasihanilah aku, sembuhkanlah aku, sebab terhadap Engkaulah aku berdosa !" 5Musuhku mengatakan yang jahat tentang aku: "Bilakah ia mati, dan namanya hilang lenyap ?" 6Orang yang datang menjenguk, berkata dusta; hatinya penuh kejahatan, lalu ia keluar menceritakannya di jalan. 7Semua orang yang benci kepadaku berbisik-bisik bersama-sama tentang aku, mereka merancangkan yang jahat terhadap aku: 8"Penyakit jahanam telah menimpa dia, sekali ia berbaring, takkan bangun-bangun lagi." 9Bahkan sahabat karibku yang kupercayai, yang makan rotiku, telah mengangkat tumitnya terhadap aku.
4As for me, I said, “LORD, be gracious to me;
Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.” 5My enemies speak evil against me,
“When will he die, and his name perish?” 6And when he comes to see me, he speaks empty words;
His heart gathers wickedness to itself;
When he goes outside, he tells it. 7All who hate me whisper together against me;
They plot my harm against me, saying, 8“A wicked thing is poured out upon him,
So that when he lies down, he will not get up again.” 9Even my close friend in whom I trusted,
Who ate my bread,
Has lifted up his heel against me.

10Tetapi Engkau, ya TUHAN, kasihanilah aku dan tegakkanlah aku, maka aku hendak mengadakan pembalasan terhadap mereka. 11Dengan demikian aku tahu, bahwa Engkau berkenan kepadaku, apabila musuhku tidak bersorak-sorai karena aku. 12Tetapi aku, Engkau menopang aku karena ketulusanku, Engkau membuat aku tegak di hadapan-Mu untuk selama-lamanya.

And You place me in Your presence forever.
