1이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 후 제이년 이월 일일에 여호와께서 시내 광야 회막에서 모세에게 일러 가라사대 2너희는 이스라엘 자손의 모든 회중 각 남자의 수를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 그 명수대로 계수할지니 3이스라엘 중 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 모든 자를 너와 아론은 그 군대대로 계수하되 4매 지파의 각기 종족의 두령 한 사람씩 너희와 함께 하라 5너희와 함께 설 사람들의 이름은 이러하니 르우벤에게서는 스데울의 아들 엘리술이요 6시므온에게서는 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이요 7유다에게서는 암미나답의 아들 나손이요 8잇사갈에게서는 수리알의 아들 느다넬이요 9스불론에게서는 헬론의 아들 엘리압이요 10요셉 자손에게서는 에브라임에 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마와 므낫세에 브다술의 아들 가말리엘이요 11베냐민에게서는 기드오니의 아들 아비단이요 12단에게서는 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이요 13아셀에게서는 오그란의 아들 바기엘이요 14갓에게서는 드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이요 15납달리에게서는 에난의 아들 아히라니라 하시니 16그들은 회중에서 부름을 받은 자요 그 조상 지파의 족장으로서 이스라엘 천만 인의 두령이라
1Now the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, 2“Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, every male, head by head 3from twenty years old and upward, whoever is able to go to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their armies. 4“With you, moreover, there shall be a man of each tribe, each one head of his father’s household. 5“These then are the names of the men who shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur; 6of the tribe of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai; 7of the tribe of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab; 8of Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar; 9of Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon; 10of the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur; 11of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni; 12of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai; 13of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ochran; 14of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel; 15of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan. 16“These are the men who were called from the congregation, the leaders of their fathers’ tribes; they were the heads of divisions of Israel.”
17모세와 아론이 지명된 이 사람들을 데리고 18이월 일일에 온 회중을 모으니 그들이 각기 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 그 명수를 의지하여 자기 계통을 말하매 19여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 그가 시내 광야에서 그들을 계수하였더라
17So Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name, 18and they assembled all the congregation on the first day of the second month. Then they registered by ancestry in their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, head by head, 19just as the LORD had commanded Moses. So he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai.
20이스라엘의 장자 르우벤의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 각 남자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 21르우벤 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 사만 육천오백 명이었더라
20Now the sons of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 21their numbered men of the tribe of Reuben were 46,500.
22시므온의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 각 남자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 23시므온 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 오만 구천삼백 명이었더라
22Of the sons of Simeon, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, their numbered men, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 23their numbered men of the tribe of Simeon were 59,300.
24갓의 아들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 25갓 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 사만 오천육백오십 명이었더라
24Of the sons of Gad, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 25their numbered men of the tribe of Gad were 45,650.
26유다의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 27유다 지파의 계수함을 입은자가 칠만 사천육백 명이었더라
26Of the sons of Judah, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 27their numbered men of the tribe of Judah were 74,600.
28잇사갈의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 29잇사갈 지파의 계수함을 입은자가 오만 사천사백 명이었더라
28Of the sons of Issachar, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 29their numbered men of the tribe of Issachar were 54,400.
30스불론의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 31스불론 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 오만 칠천사백 명이었더라
30Of the sons of Zebulun, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 31their numbered men of the tribe of Zebulun were 57,400.
32요셉의 아들 에브라임의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 33에브라임 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 사만 오백 명이었더라
32Of the sons of Joseph, namely, of the sons of Ephraim, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 33their numbered men of the tribe of Ephraim were 40,500.
34므낫세의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 35므낫세 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 삼만 이천이백 명이었더라
34Of the sons of Manasseh, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 35their numbered men of the tribe of Manasseh were 32,200.
36베냐민의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 37베냐민 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 삼만 오천사백 명이었더라
36Of the sons of Benjamin, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 37their numbered men of the tribe of Benjamin were 35,400.
38단의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 39단 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 육만 이천칠백 명이었더라
38Of the sons of Dan, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 39their numbered men of the tribe of Dan were 62,700.
40아셀의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 41아셀 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 사만 일천오백 명이었더라
40Of the sons of Asher, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 41their numbered men of the tribe of Asher were 41,500.
42납달리의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 가족과 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니 43납달리 지파의 계수함을 입은 자가 오만 삼천사백 명이었더라
42Of the sons of Naphtali, their descendants by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war, 43their numbered men of the tribe of Naphtali were 53,400.
44이 계수함을 입은 자는 모세와 아론과 각기 이스라엘 종족을 대표한 족장 십이 인이 계수한 자라 45이같이 이스라엘 자손의 그 종족을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 한 자가 이스라엘 중에서 다 계수함을 입었으니 46계수함을 입은 자의 총계가 육십만 삼천오백오십 명이었더라
44These are the ones who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron counted, with the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each of whom was of his father’s household. 45So all the numbered men of the sons of Israel by their fathers’ households, from twenty years old and upward, whoever was able to go to war in Israel, 46all the numbered men were 603,550.
Levites Exempted
47오직 레위인은 그 조상의 지파대로 그 계수에 들지 아니하였으니 48이는 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대 49레위 지파만은 너는 계수치 말며 그들을 이스라엘 자손 계수 중에 넣지 말고 50그들로 증거막과 그 모든 기구와 그 모든 부속품을 관리하게 하라 그들은 그 장막과 그 모든 기구를 운반하며 거기서 봉사하며 장막 사면에 진을 칠찌며 51장막을 운반할 때에는 레위인이 그것을 걷고 장막을 세울 때에는 레위인이 그것을 세울 것이요 외인이 가까이 오면 죽일찌며 52이스라엘 자손은 막을 치되 그 군대대로 각각 그 진과 기 곁에 칠 것이나 53레위인은 증거막 사면에 진을 쳐서 이스라엘 자손의 회중에게 진노가 임하지 않게 할 것이라 레위인은 증거막에 대한 책임을 지킬찌니라 하셨음이라 54이스라엘 자손이 그대로 행하되 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 행하였더라
47The Levites, however, were not counted among them by their fathers’ tribe. 48For the LORD had spoken to Moses, saying, 49“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not count, nor shall you take their census among the sons of Israel. 50“And you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its furnishings and over everything that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, and they shall take care of it; they shall also camp around the tabernacle. 51“So when the tabernacle is to move on, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle encamps, the Levites shall set it up. But the layman who comes near it shall be put to death. 52“So the sons of Israel shall camp, each man by his own camp, and each man by his own flag, according to their armies. 53“But the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the testimony, so that there will be no divine wrath against the congregation of the sons of Israel. So the Levites shall be responsible for service to the tabernacle of the testimony.” 54And the sons of Israel did so; in accordance with all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so they did.
