1이스라엘 자손이 요단 저편 해 돋는 편 곧 아르논 골짜기에서 헤르몬 산까지의 동방 온 아라바를 점령하고 그 땅에서 쳐 죽인 왕들은 이러하니라 2헤스본에 거하던 아모리 사람의 왕 시혼이라 그 다스리던 땅은 아르논 골짜기 가에 있는 아로엘에서부터 골짜기 가운데 성읍과 길르앗 절반 곧 암몬 자손의 지경 얍복 강까지며 3또 동방 아라바 긴네롯 바다까지며 또 동방 아라바의 바다 곧 염해의 벧여시못으로 통한 길까지와 남편으로 비스가 산록까지며 4또 르바의 남은 족속으로서 아스다롯과 에브레이에 거하던 바산 왕 옥이라 5그 치리하던 땅은 헤르몬 산과 살르가와 온 바산과 및 그술 사람과 마아가 사람의 지경까지의 길르앗 절반이니 헤스본 왕 시혼의 지경에 접한 것이라 6여호와의 종 모세와 이스라엘 자손이 그들을 치고 여호와의 종 모세가 그 땅을 르우벤 사람과 갓 사람과 므낫세 반 지파에게 기업으로 주었더라
1Now these are the kings of the land whom the sons of Israel defeated, and they took possession of their land beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the Valley of the Arnon as far as Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah to the east: 2Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon and ruled from Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, both the middle of the valley and half of Gilead, even as far as the brook Jabbok, the border of the sons of Ammon; 3and the Arabah as far as the Sea of Chinneroth toward the east, and as far as the Sea of the Arabah, that is, the Salt Sea, eastward toward Beth-jeshimoth, and on the south, at the foot of the slopes of Pisgah; 4and the territory of Og king of Bashan, one of the remnant of Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, 5and ruled over Mount Hermon, Salecah, and all Bashan, as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half of Gilead, as far as the border of Sihon king of Heshbon. 6Moses the servant of the LORD and the sons of Israel defeated them; and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh as a possession.
7여호수아와 이스라엘 자손이 요단 이편 곧 서편 레바논 골짜기의 바알갓에서부터 세일로 올라가는 곳 할락 산까지에서 쳐서 멸한 왕들은 이러하니 (그 땅을 여호수아가 이스라엘의 구별을 따라 그 지파에게 기업으로 주었으니 8곧 산지와 평지와 아라바와 경사지와 광야와 남방 곧 헷 사람과 아모리 사람과 가나안 사람과 브리스 사람과 히위 사람과 여부스 사람의 땅이라) 9하나는 여리고 왕이요 하나는 벧엘 곁의 아이 왕이요 10하나는 예루살렘 왕이요 하나는 헤브론 왕이요 하나는 야르뭇 왕이요 11하나는 라기스 왕이요 12하나는 에글론 왕이요 하나는 게셀 왕이요 13하나는 드빌 왕이요 하나는 게델 왕이요 14하나는 호르마 왕이요 하나는 아랏 왕이요 15하나는 립나 왕이요 하나는 아둘람 왕이요 16하나는 막게다 왕이요 하나는 벧엘 왕이요 17하나는 답부아 왕이요 하나는 헤벨 왕이요 18하나는 아벡 왕이요 하나는 랏사론 왕이요 19하나는 마돈 왕이요 하나는 하솔 왕이요 20하나는 시므론 므론 왕이요 하나는 악삽 왕이요 21하나는 다아낙 왕이요 하나는 므깃도 왕이요 22하나는 게데스 왕이요 하나는 갈멜의 욕느암 왕이요 23하나는 돌의 높은 곳의 돌 왕이요 하나는 길갈의 고임 왕이요 24하나는 디르사 왕이라 도합 삼십일 왕이었더라
7Now these are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the sons of Israel defeated beyond the Jordan toward the west, from Baal-gad in the Valley of Lebanon even as far as Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir; and Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel as a possession according to their divisions, 8in the hill country, in the lowland, in the Arabah, on the slopes, in the wilderness, and in the Negev; the Hittite, the Amorite and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: 9the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one; 10the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one; 11the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one; 12the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one; 13the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one; 14the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one; 15the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one; 16the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one; 17the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one; 18the king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one; 19the king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one; 20the king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one; 21the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one; 22the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one; 23the king of Dor in the heights of Dor, one; the king of Goiim in Gilgal, one; 24the king of Tirzah, one: in all, thirty-one kings.
