Jonah’s Prayer
1約拿在魚腹中禱告耶和華─他的神，2說：我遭遇患難求告耶和華，你就應允我；從陰間的深處呼求，你就俯聽我的聲音。3你將我投下深淵，就是海的深處；大水環繞我，你的波浪洪濤都漫過我身。4我說：我從你眼前雖被驅逐，我仍要仰望你的聖殿。5諸水環繞我，幾乎淹沒我；深淵圍住我；海草纏繞我的頭。6我下到山根，地的門將我永遠關住。耶和華─我的神啊，你卻將我的性命從坑中救出來。7我心在我裏面發昏的時候，我就想念耶和華。我的禱告進入你的聖殿，達到你的面前。8那信奉虛無之神的人，離棄憐愛他們的主；9但我必用感謝的聲音獻祭與你。我所許的願，我必償還。救恩出於耶和華。
1Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the stomach of the fish, 2and he said,
“I called out of my distress to the LORD,
And He answered me.
I called for help from the depth of Sheol;
You heard my voice. 3“For You threw me into the deep,
Into the heart of the seas,
And the current flowed around me.
All Your breakers and waves passed over me. 4“So I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight.
Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.’ 5“Water encompassed me to the point of death.
The deep flowed around me,
Seaweed was wrapped around my head. 6“I descended to the base of the mountains.
The earth with its bars was around me forever,
But You have brought up my life from the pit, LORD my God. 7“While I was fainting away,
I remembered the LORD,
And my prayer came to You,
Into Your holy temple. 8“Those who are followers of worthless idols
Abandon their faithfulness, 9But I will sacrifice to You
With a voice of thanksgiving.
That which I have vowed I will pay.
Salvation is from the LORD.”

10Then the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land.
