Elihu Rebukes Job in Anger
1于是这三个人，因约伯自以为义就不再回答他。2那时有布西人兰族巴拉迦的儿子以利户向约伯发怒；因约伯自以为义，不以神为义。3他又向约伯的三个朋友发怒；因为他们想不出回答的话来，仍以约伯为有罪。4以利户要与约伯说话，就等候他们，因为他们比自己年老。5以利户见这三个人口中无话回答，就怒气发作。
1Then these three men stopped answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes. 2But the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, burned against Job; his anger burned because he justified himself before God. 3And his anger burned against his three friends because they had found no answer, yet they had condemned Job. 4Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were years older than he. 5But when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, his anger burned.
6布西人巴拉迦的儿子以利户回答说：我年轻，你们老迈；因此我退让，不敢向你们陈说我的意见。7我说，年老的当先说话；寿高的当以智慧教训人。8但在人里面有灵；全能者的气使人有聪明。9尊贵的不都有智慧；寿高的不都能明白公平。10因此我说：你们要听我言；我也要陈说我的意见。
6So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said,
“I am young in years and you are old;
Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think. 7“I thought age should speak,
And increased years should teach wisdom. 8“But it is a spirit that is in mankind,
And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding. 9“The abundant in years may not be wise,
Nor may elders understand justice. 10“So I say, ‘Listen to me,
I too will tell what I think.’
“I am young in years and you are old;
Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think. 7“I thought age should speak,
And increased years should teach wisdom. 8“But it is a spirit that is in mankind,

11你们查究所要说的话；那时我等候你们的话，侧耳听你们的辩论，12留心听你们；谁知你们中间无一人折服约伯，驳倒他的话。13你们切不可说：我们寻得智慧；神能胜他，人却不能。14约伯没有向我争辩；我也不用你们的话回答他。
11“Behold, I waited for your words,
I listened to your skillful speech,
While you pondered what to say. 12“I also paid close attention to you;
But indeed, there was no one who refuted Job,
Not one of you who answered his words. 13“So do not say,
‘We have found wisdom:
God will defeat him, not man.’ 14“But he has not presented his words against me,
Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.
I listened to your skillful speech,
While you pondered what to say. 12“I also paid close attention to you;
But indeed, there was no one who refuted Job,
Not one of you who answered his words. 13“So do not say,
‘We have found wisdom:
God will defeat him, not man.’ 14“But he has not presented his words against me,
Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.
15他们惊奇不再回答，一言不发。16我岂因他们不说话，站住不再回答，仍旧等候呢？17我也要回答我的一分话，陈说我的意见。18因为我的言语满怀；我里面的灵激动我。19我的胸怀如盛酒之囊没有出气之缝，又如新皮袋快要破裂。20我要说话，使我舒畅；我要开口回答。21我必不看人的情面，也不奉承人。22我不晓得奉承；若奉承，造我的主必快快除灭我。
15“They are dismayed, they no longer answer;
Words have failed them. 16“Should I wait, because they are not speaking,
Because they have stopped and no longer answer? 17“I too will give my share of answers;
I also will tell my opinion. 18“For I am full of words;
The spirit within me compels me. 19“Behold, my belly is like unvented wine;
Like new wineskins, it is about to burst. 20“Let me speak so that I may get relief;
Let me open my lips and answer. 21“Let me be partial to no one,
Nor flatter any man. 22“For I do not know how to flatter,
Otherwise my Maker would quickly take me away.
