1욥이 대답하여 가로되 2네가 힘 없는 자를 참 잘 도왔구나 기력 없는 팔을 참 잘 구원하였구나 3지혜 없는 자를 참 잘 가르쳤구나 큰 지식을 참 잘 나타내었구나 4네가 누구를 향하여 말을 내었느냐 뉘 신이 네게서 나왔느냐
1Then Job responded, 2“What a help you are to the weak!
You have saved the arm without strength! 3“What advice you have given to one without wisdom!
What helpful insight you have abundantly provided! 4“To whom have you uttered words?
And whose spirit was expressed through you?

5음령들이 큰 물과 수족 밑에서 떠나니 6하나님 앞에는 음부도 드러나며 멸망의 웅덩이도 가리움이 없음이니라 7그는 북편 하늘을 허공에 펴시며 땅을 공간에 다시며 8물을 빽빽한 구름에 싸시나 그 밑의 구름이 찢어지지 아니하느니라 9그는 자기의 보좌 앞을 가리우시고 자기 구름으로 그 위에 펴시며 10수면에 경계를 그으셨으되 빛과 어두움의 지경까지 한정을 세우셨느니라 11그가 꾸짖으신즉 하늘 기둥이 떨며 놀라느니라 12그는 권능으로 바다를 흉용케 하시며 지혜로 라합을 쳐서 파하시며 13그 신으로 하늘을 단장하시고 손으로 날랜 뱀을 찌르시나니 14이런 것은 그 행사의 시작점이요 우리가 그에게 대하여 들은 것도 심히 세미한 소리뿐이니라 그 큰 능력의 우뢰야 누가 능히 측량하랴
5“The departed spirits are made to tremble
Under the waters and their inhabitants. 6“Sheol is naked before Him,
And Abaddon has no covering. 7“He stretches out the north over empty space
And hangs the earth on nothing. 8“He wraps up the waters in His clouds,
And the cloud does not burst under them. 9“He obscures the face of the full moon
And spreads His cloud over it. 10“He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters
At the boundary of light and darkness. 11“The pillars of heaven tremble
And are amazed at His rebuke. 12“With His power He quieted the sea,
And by His understanding He shattered Rahab. 13“By His breath the heavens are cleared;
His hand has pierced the fleeing serpent. 14“Behold, these are the fringes of His ways;
And how faint a word we hear of Him!
But His mighty thunder, who can understand?”
