Grief over Zion
1Oh, that my head were waters
And my eyes a fountain of tears,
That I might weep day and night
For those slain of the daughter of my people! 2Oh that I had in the desert
A travelers’ lodging place;
So that I might leave my people
And go away from them!
For all of them are adulterers,
An assembly of treacherous people. 3“They bend their tongues like their bows;
Lies and not truth prevail in the land;
For they proceed from evil to evil,
And they do not know Me,” declares the LORD. 4“Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor,
And do not trust any brother;
Because every brother utterly betrays,
And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer. 5“Everyone deceives his neighbor
And does not speak the truth.
They have taught their tongue to speak lies;
They weary themselves committing wrongdoing. 6“Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit;
Through deceit they refuse to know Me,” declares the LORD.

1但願我的頭為水，我的眼為淚的泉源，我好為我百姓原文是民女；七節同中被殺的人晝夜哭泣。2惟願我在曠野有行路人住宿之處，使我可以離開我的民出去；因他們都是行姦淫的，是行詭詐的一黨。3他們彎起舌頭像弓一樣，為要說謊話。他們在國中增長勢力，不是為行誠實，乃是惡上加惡，並不認識我。這是耶和華說的。4你們各人當謹防鄰舍，不可信靠弟兄；因為弟兄盡行欺騙，鄰舍都往來讒謗人。5他們各人欺哄鄰舍，不說真話；他們教舌頭學習說謊，勞勞碌碌地作孽。6你的住處在詭詐的人中；他們因行詭詐，不肯認識我。這是耶和華說的。
7Therefore this is what the LORD of armies says:
“Behold, I will refine them and put them to the test;
For what else can I do, because of the daughter of My people? 8“Their tongue is a deadly arrow;
It speaks deceit;
With his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor,
But inwardly he sets an ambush for him. 9“Shall I not punish them for these things?” declares the LORD.
“Shall I not avenge Myself
On a nation such as this?
“Behold, I will refine them and put them to the test;
For what else can I do, because of the daughter of My people? 8“Their tongue is a deadly arrow;
It speaks deceit;
With his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor,
But inwardly he sets an ambush for him. 9“Shall I not punish them for these things?” declares the LORD.
“Shall I not avenge Myself
On a nation such as this?
7所以萬軍之耶和華如此說：看哪，我要將他們鎔化熬煉；不然，我因我百姓的罪該怎樣行呢？8他們的舌頭是毒箭，說話詭詐；人與鄰舍口說和平話，心卻謀害他。9耶和華說：我豈不因這些事討他們的罪呢？豈不報復這樣的國民呢？
10“I will take up a weeping and wailing for the mountains,
And for the pastures of the wilderness a song of mourning,
Because they are laid waste so that no one passes through,
And the sound of the livestock is not heard;
Both the birds of the sky and the animals have fled; they are gone. 11“I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins,
A haunt of jackals;
And I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without inhabitant.”

10我要為山嶺哭泣悲哀，為曠野的草場揚聲哀號；因為都已乾焦，甚至無人經過。人也聽不見牲畜鳴叫，空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸都已逃去。11我必使耶路撒冷變為亂堆，為野狗的住處，也必使猶大的城邑變為荒場，無人居住。
12Who is the wise person who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land destroyed, laid waste like the desert, so that no one passes through? 13The LORD said, “Because they have abandoned My Law which I put before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it, 14but have followed the stubbornness of their heart and the Baals, as their fathers taught them,” 15therefore this is what the LORD of armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I will feed this people wormwood; and I will give them poisoned water to drink. 16“I will also scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them until I have put an end to them.”
12誰是智慧人，可以明白這事？耶和華的口向誰說過，使他可以傳說？遍地為何滅亡，乾焦好像曠野，甚至無人經過呢？13耶和華說：「因為這百姓離棄我，在他們面前所設立的律法沒有遵行，也沒有聽從我的話；14只隨從自己頑梗的心行事，照他們列祖所教訓的隨從眾巴力。」15所以萬軍之耶和華─以色列的神如此說：「看哪，我必將茵蔯給這百姓吃，又將苦膽水給他們喝。16我要把他們散在列邦中，就是他們和他們列祖素不認識的列邦。我也要使刀劍追殺他們，直到將他們滅盡。」
17This is what the LORD of armies says:
“Consider and call for the mourning women, that they may come;
And send for the skillful women, that they may come! 18“Have them hurry and take up a wailing for us,
So that our eyes may shed tears,
And our eyelids flow with water. 19“For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion:
‘How devastated we are!
We are put to great shame,
For we have abandoned the land
Because they have torn down our homes.’” 20Now hear the word of the LORD, you women,
And let your ears receive the word of His mouth;
Teach your daughters wailing,
And have every woman teach her neighbor a song of mourning. 21For death has come up through our windows;
It has entered our palaces
To eliminate the children from the streets,
The young men from the public squares. 22Speak, “This is what the LORD says:
‘The corpses of people will fall like dung on the open field,
And like the sheaf after the reaper,
But no one will gather them.’”

17萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們應當思想，將善唱哀歌的婦女召來，又打發人召善哭的婦女來，18叫她們速速為我們舉哀，使我們眼淚汪汪，使我們的眼皮湧出水來。19因為聽見哀聲出於錫安，說：我們怎樣敗落了！我們大大地慚愧！我們撇下地土；人也拆毀了我們的房屋。20婦女們哪，你們當聽耶和華的話，領受他口中的言語；又當教導你們的兒女舉哀，各人教導鄰舍唱哀歌。21因為死亡上來，進了我們的窗戶，入了我們的宮殿；要從外邊剪除孩童，從街上剪除少年人。22你當說，耶和華如此說：人的屍首必倒在田野像糞土，又像收割的人遺落的一把禾稼，無人收取。
23This is what the LORD says: “Let no wise man boast of his wisdom, nor let the mighty man boast of his might, nor a rich man boast of his riches; 24but let the one who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises mercy, justice, and righteousness on the earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
23耶和華如此說：「智慧人不要因他的智慧誇口，勇士不要因他的勇力誇口，財主不要因他的財物誇口。24誇口的卻因他有聰明，認識我是耶和華，又知道我喜悅在世上施行慈愛、公平，和公義，以此誇口。這是耶和華說的。」
25“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised— 26Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all those inhabiting the desert who trim the hair on their temples; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised of heart.”
25耶和華說：「看哪，日子將到，我要刑罰一切受過割禮、心卻未受割禮的，26就是埃及、猶大、以東、亞捫人、摩押人，和一切住在曠野剃周圍頭髮的；因為列國人都沒有受割禮，以色列人心中也沒有受割禮。」
