Liberation from Captivity Promised
1耶和华的话临到耶利米说：2「耶和华—以色列的神如此说：你将我对你说过的一切话都写在书上。3耶和华说：日子将到，我要使我的百姓以色列和犹大被掳的人归回；我也要使他们回到我所赐给他们列祖之地，他们就得这地为业。这是耶和华说的。」
1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2“This is what the LORD, the God of Israel says: ‘Write all the words which I have spoken to you in a book. 3‘For behold, days are coming,’ declares the LORD, ‘when I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel and Judah.’ The LORD says, ‘I will also bring them back to the land that I gave to their forefathers, and they shall take possession of it.’”

4Now these are the words which the LORD spoke concerning Israel and Judah:
5耶和华如此说：我们听见声音，是战抖惧怕而不平安的声音。6你们且访问看看，男人有产难吗？我怎么看见人人用手掐腰，像产难的妇人，脸面都变青了呢？7哀哉！那日为大，无日可比；这是雅各遭难的时候，但他必被救出来。
5“For this is what the LORD says:
‘I have heard a sound of terror,
Of fear, and there is no peace. 6‘Ask now, and see
If a male can give birth.
Why do I see every man
With his hands on his waist, as a woman in childbirth?
And why have all faces turned pale? 7‘Woe, for that day is great,
There is none like it;
And it is the time of Jacob’s distress,
Yet he will be saved from it.
‘I have heard a sound of terror,
Of fear, and there is no peace. 6‘Ask now, and see
If a male can give birth.
Why do I see every man

8万军之耶和华说：「到那日，我必从你颈项上折断仇敌的轭，扭开他的绳索；外邦人不得再使你作他们的奴仆。9你们却要事奉耶和华—你们的神和我为你们所要兴起的王大卫。」10故此，耶和华说：我的仆人雅各啊，不要惧怕；以色列啊，不要惊惶；因我要从远方拯救你，从被掳到之地拯救你的后裔；雅各必回来得享平靖安逸，无人使他害怕。11因我与你同在，要拯救你，也要将所赶散你到的那些国灭绝净尽，却不将你灭绝净尽，倒要从宽惩治你，万不能不罚你不罚你：或译以你为无罪。这是耶和华说的。
8‘It shall come about on that day,’ declares the LORD of armies, ‘that I will break his yoke from their necks and will tear to pieces their restraints; and strangers will no longer make them their slaves. 9‘But they shall serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them. 10‘And do not fear, Jacob My servant,’ declares the LORD,
‘And do not be dismayed, Israel;
For behold, I am going to save you from far away,
And your descendants from the land of their captivity.
And Jacob will return and be at peace, without anxiety,
And no one will make him afraid. 11‘For I am with you,’ declares the LORD, ‘to save you;
For I will completely destroy all the nations where I have scattered you,
Only I will not destroy you completely.
But I will discipline you fairly
And will by no means leave you unpunished.’
‘And do not be dismayed, Israel;
For behold, I am going to save you from far away,
And your descendants from the land of their captivity.
And Jacob will return and be at peace, without anxiety,
And no one will make him afraid. 11‘For I am with you,’ declares the LORD, ‘to save you;
For I will completely destroy all the nations where I have scattered you,
Only I will not destroy you completely.
But I will discipline you fairly
And will by no means leave you unpunished.’
12耶和华如此说：你的损伤无法医治；你的伤痕极其重大。13无人为你分诉，使你的伤痕得以缠裹；你没有医治的良药。14你所亲爱的都忘记你，不来探问或译：理会你。我因你的罪孽甚大，罪恶众多，曾用仇敌加的伤害伤害你，用残忍者的惩治惩治你。15你为何因损伤哀号呢？你的痛苦无法医治。我因你的罪孽甚大，罪恶众多，曾将这些加在你身上。16故此，凡吞吃你的必被吞吃；你的敌人个个都被掳去；掳掠你的必成为掳物；抢夺你的必成为掠物。17耶和华说：我必使你痊愈，医好你的伤痕，都因人称你为被赶散的，说：这是锡安，无人来探问或译：理会的！
12“For this is what the LORD says:
‘Your broken limb is irreparable,
And your wound is incurable. 13‘There is no one to plead your cause;
No healing for your sore,
No recovery for you. 14‘All your lovers have forgotten you,
They do not seek you;
For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy,
With the punishment of a cruel one,
Because your wrongdoing is great,
And your sins are numerous. 15‘Why do you cry out over your injury?
Your pain is incurable.
Because your wrongdoing is great
And your sins are numerous,
I have done these things to you. 16‘Therefore all who devour you will be devoured;
And all your adversaries, every one of them, will go into captivity;
And those who plunder you will become plunder,
And all who plunder you I will turn into plunder. 17‘For I will restore you to health
And I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the LORD,
‘Because they have called you an outcast, saying:
“It is Zion; no one cares for her.”’

Restoration of Jacob
18耶和华如此说：我必使雅各被掳去的帐棚归回，也必顾惜他的住处。城必建造在原旧的山冈；宫殿也照旧有人居住。19必有感谢和欢乐的声音从其中发出，我要使他们增多，不致减少；使他们尊荣，不致卑微。20他们的儿女要如往日；他们的会众坚立在我面前；凡欺压他们的，我必刑罚他。21他们的君王必是属乎他们的；掌权的必从他们中间而出。我要使他就近我，他也要亲近我；不然，谁有胆量亲近我呢？这是耶和华说的。22你们要作我的子民，我要作你们的神。
18“This is what the LORD says:
‘Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob
And have compassion on his dwellings;
And the city will be rebuilt on its ruins,
And the palace will stand on its rightful place. 19‘From them will come a song of thanksgiving
And the voices of those who celebrate;
And I will multiply them and they will not decrease;
I will honor them and they will not be insignificant. 20‘Their children also will be as before,
And their congregation will be established before Me;
And I will punish all their oppressors. 21‘Their leader shall be one of them,
And their ruler will come out from their midst;
And I will bring him near and he shall approach Me;
For who would dare to risk his life to approach Me?’ declares the LORD. 22‘You shall be My people,
And I will be your God.’”

23Behold, the tempest of the LORD!
Wrath has gone forth,
A sweeping tempest;
It will whirl upon the head of the wicked. 24The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back
Until He has performed and accomplished
The intent of His heart.
In the latter days you will understand this.
