1Ucapan ilahi tentang Moab. Sungguh, dalam suatu malam Ar-Moab sudah dirusakkan, dibinasakan; sungguh, dalam suatu malam Kir-Moab sudah dirusakkan, dibinasakan !
1The pronouncement concerning Moab:
Certainly in a night Ar of Moab is devastated and ruined;
Certainly in a night Kir of Moab is devastated and ruined.

2Puteri Dibon naik ke bukit-bukit pengorbanan untuk menangis; Moab meratap karena Nebo dan karena Medeba. Di situ semua orang menggundul kepalanya dan memotong janggutnya sebagai tanda berkabung.

5Aku berteriak karena Moab, pengungsi-pengungsi sudah sampai ke Zoar, ke Eglat-Selisia. Sungguh, orang mendaki pendakian Luhit sambil menangis; dan di jalan ke Horonaim orang berteriak karena ditimpa bencana.
