Jacob Meets Rachel
1雅各起行，到了东方人之地，2看见田间有一口井，有三群羊卧在井旁；因为人饮羊群都是用那井里的水。井口上的石头是大的。3常有羊群在那里聚集，牧人把石头转离井口饮羊，随后又把石头放在井口的原处。
1Then Jacob set out on his journey, and went to the land of the people of the east. 2He looked, and saw a well in the field, and behold, three flocks of sheep were lying there beside it, because they watered the flocks from that well. Now the stone on the mouth of the well was large. 3When all the flocks were gathered there, they would roll the stone from the mouth of the well and water the sheep. Then they would put the stone back in its place on the mouth of the well.
4雅各对牧人说：「弟兄们，你们是哪里来的？」他们说：「我们是哈兰来的。」5他问他们说：「拿鹤的孙子拉班，你们认识吗？」他们说：「我们认识。」6雅各说：「他平安吗？」他们说：「平安。看哪，他女儿拉结领着羊来了。」7雅各说：「日头还高，不是羊群聚集的时候，你们不如饮羊，再去放一放。」8他们说：「我们不能，必等羊群聚齐，人把石头转离井口才可饮羊。」
4Jacob said to them, “My brothers, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Haran.” 5So he said to them, “Do you know Laban the son of Nahor?” And they said, “We know him.” 6And he said to them, “Is it well with him?” And they said, “It is well, and here is his daughter Rachel coming with the sheep.” 7Then he said, “Look, it is still high day; it is not time for the livestock to be gathered. Water the sheep, and go, pasture them.” 8But they said, “We cannot, until all the flocks are gathered, and they roll the stone from the mouth of the well; then we water the sheep.”
9雅各正和他们说话的时候，拉结领着她父亲的羊来了，因为那些羊是她牧放的。10雅各看见母舅拉班的女儿拉结和母舅拉班的羊群，就上前把石头转离井口，饮他母舅拉班的羊群。11雅各与拉结亲嘴，就放声而哭。12雅各告诉拉结，自己是她父亲的外甥，是利百加的儿子，拉结就跑去告诉她父亲。
9While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess. 10When Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of his mother’s brother Laban, and the sheep of his mother’s brother Laban, Jacob went up and rolled the stone from the mouth of the well, and watered the flock of his mother’s brother Laban. 11Then Jacob kissed Rachel, and raised his voice and wept. 12Jacob told Rachel that he was a relative of her father and that he was Rebekah’s son, and she ran and told her father.
13拉班听见外甥雅各的信息，就跑去迎接，抱着他，与他亲嘴，领他到自己的家。雅各将一切的情由告诉拉班。14拉班对他说：「你实在是我的骨肉。」雅各就和他同住了一个月。
13So when Laban heard the news about Jacob, his sister’s son, he ran to meet him, and embraced him and kissed him, and brought him to his house. Then he told Laban all these things. 14And Laban said to him, “You certainly are my bone and my flesh.” And he stayed with him a month.
15拉班对雅各说：「你虽是我的骨肉原文是弟兄，岂可白白地服事我？请告诉我，你要什么为工价？」16拉班有两个女儿，大的名叫利亚，小的名叫拉结。17利亚的眼睛没有神气，拉结却生得美貌俊秀。18雅各爱拉结，就说：「我愿为你小女儿拉结服事你七年。」19拉班说：「我把她给你，胜似给别人，你与我同住吧！」20雅各就为拉结服事了七年；他因为深爱拉结，就看这七年如同几天。
15Then Laban said to Jacob, “Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what shall your wages be?” 16Now Laban had two daughters; the name of the older was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. 17And Leah’s eyes were weak, but Rachel was beautiful in figure and appearance. 18Now Jacob loved Rachel, so he said, “I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.” 19Laban said, “It is better that I give her to you than to give her to another man; stay with me.” 20So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed to him like only a few days because of his love for her.
Laban’s Treachery
21雅各对拉班说：「日期已经满了，求你把我的妻子给我，我好与她同房。」22拉班就摆设筵席，请齐了那地方的众人。23到晚上，拉班将女儿利亚送来给雅各，雅各就与她同房。24拉班又将婢女悉帕给女儿利亚作使女。25到了早晨，雅各一看是利亚，就对拉班说：「你向我做的是什么事呢？我服事你，不是为拉结吗？你为什么欺哄我呢？」26拉班说：「大女儿还没有给人，先把小女儿给人，在我们这地方没有这规矩。27你为这个满了七日，我就把那个也给你，你再为她服事我七年。」28雅各就如此行。满了利亚的七日，拉班便将女儿拉结给雅各为妻。29拉班又将婢女辟拉给女儿拉结作使女。30雅各也与拉结同房，并且爱拉结胜似爱利亚，于是又服事了拉班七年。
21Then Jacob said to Laban, “Give me my wife, for my time is completed, that I may have relations with her.” 22So Laban gathered all the people of the place and held a feast. 23Now in the evening he took his daughter Leah and brought her to him; and Jacob had relations with her. 24Laban also gave his female slave Zilpah to his daughter Leah as a slave. 25So it came about in the morning that, behold, it was Leah! And he said to Laban, “What is this that you have done to me? Was it not for Rachel that I served with you? Why then have you deceived me?” 26But Laban said, “It is not the practice in our place to marry off the younger before the firstborn. 27“Complete the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you shall serve with me, for another seven years.” 28Jacob did so and completed her week, and he gave him his daughter Rachel as his wife. 29Laban also gave his female slave Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as her slave. 30So Jacob had relations with Rachel also, and indeed he loved Rachel more than Leah, and he served with Laban for another seven years.
31耶和华见利亚失宠原文是被恨；下同，就使她生育，拉结却不生育。32利亚怀孕生子，就给他起名叫吕便就是有儿子的意思，因而说：「耶和华看见我的苦情，如今我的丈夫必爱我。」33她又怀孕生子，就说：「耶和华因为听见我失宠，所以又赐给我这个儿子」，于是给他起名叫西缅就是听见的意思。34她又怀孕生子，起名叫利未就是联合的意思，说：「我给丈夫生了三个儿子，他必与我联合。」35她又怀孕生子，说：「这回我要赞美耶和华」，因此给他起名叫犹大就是赞美的意思。这才停了生育。
31Now the LORD saw that Leah was unloved, and He opened her womb, but Rachel was unable to have children. 32Leah conceived and gave birth to a son, and named him Reuben, for she said, “Because the LORD has seen my affliction; surely now my husband will love me.” 33Then she conceived again and gave birth to a son, and said, “Because the LORD has heard that I am unloved, He has therefore given me this son also.” So she named him Simeon. 34And she conceived again and gave birth to a son, and said, “Now this time my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons.” Therefore he was named Levi. 35And she conceived again and gave birth to a son, and said, “This time I will praise the LORD.” Therefore she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.
