Prophecy against Mount Seir
1Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2“Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it 3and say to it, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says:
“Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir,
And I will reach out with My hand against you
And make you a desolation and a waste. 4“I will turn your cities to ruins,
And you will become a desolation.
Then you will know that I am the LORD. 5“Since you have had everlasting hostility and have turned over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their disaster, at the time of the punishment of the end, 6therefore as I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “I will certainly doom you to bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; since you have not hated bloodshed, therefore bloodshed will pursue you. 7“I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation and I will eliminate from it one who passes through and returns. 8“I will fill its mountains with its slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills, in your valleys, and in all your ravines. 9“I will make you a permanent desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

1耶和華的話又臨到我說：2「人子啊，你要面向西珥山發預言，攻擊它，3對它說，主耶和華如此說：西珥山哪，我與你為敵，必向你伸手攻擊你，使你荒涼，令人驚駭。4我必使你的城邑變為荒場，成為淒涼。你就知道我是耶和華。5因為你永懷仇恨，在以色列人遭災、罪孽到了盡頭的時候，將他們交與刀劍，6所以主耶和華說：我指著我的永生起誓，我必使你遭遇流血的報應，罪原文是血；本節同必追趕你；你既不恨惡殺人流血，所以這罪必追趕你。7我必使西珥山荒涼，令人驚駭，來往經過的人我必剪除。8我必使西珥山滿有被殺的人。被刀殺的，必倒在你小山和山谷，並一切的溪水中。9我必使你永遠荒涼，使你的城邑無人居住，你的民就知道我是耶和華。
10“Since you have said, ‘These two nations and these two lands will be mine, and we will possess them,’ although the LORD was there, 11therefore as I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “I will deal with you according to your anger and according to your envy which you displayed because of your hatred for them; so I will make Myself known among them when I judge you. 12“Then you will know that I, the LORD, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel saying, ‘They are desolate; they have been given to us as food.’ 13“And you have spoken arrogantly against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; I Myself have heard it.” 14‘This is what the Lord GOD says: “As all the earth rejoices, I will make you a desolation. 15“As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be a desolation, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”’
10因為你曾說：『這二國這二邦必歸於我，我必得為業』（其實耶和華仍在那裏），11所以主耶和華說：我指著我的永生起誓，我必照你的怒氣和你從仇恨中向他們所發的嫉妒待你。我審判你的時候，必將自己顯明在他們中間。12你也必知道我─耶和華聽見了你的一切毀謗，就是你攻擊以色列山的話，說：『這些山荒涼，是歸我們吞滅的。』13你們也用口向我誇大，增添與我反對的話，我都聽見了。14主耶和華如此說：全地歡樂的時候，我必使你荒涼。15你怎樣因以色列家的地業荒涼而喜樂，我必照你所行的待你。西珥山哪，你和以東全地必都荒涼。你們就知道我是耶和華。」
