The Ten Commandments
1神吩咐这一切的话说：
1Then God spoke all these words, saying,
2「我是耶和华—你的神，曾将你从埃及地为奴之家领出来。
2“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
3「除了我以外，你不可有别的神。
3“You shall have no other gods before Me.
4「不可为自己雕刻偶像，也不可做什么形象仿佛上天、下地，和地底下、水中的百物。5不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它，因为我耶和华—你的神是忌邪的神。恨我的，我必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三四代；6爱我、守我诫命的，我必向他们发慈爱，直到千代。
4“You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath, or in the water under the earth. 5“You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, inflicting the punishment of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6but showing favor to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7「不可妄称耶和华—你神的名；因为妄称耶和华名的，耶和华必不以他为无罪。
7“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
8「当记念安息日，守为圣日。9六日要劳碌做你一切的工，10但第七日是向耶和华—你神当守的安息日。这一日你和你的儿女、仆婢、牲畜，并你城里寄居的客旅，无论何工都不可做；11因为六日之内，耶和华造天、地、海，和其中的万物，第七日便安息，所以耶和华赐福与安息日，定为圣日。
8“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9“For six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the LORD your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male slave or your female slave, or your cattle, or your resident who stays with you. 11“For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; for that reason the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12「当孝敬父母，使你的日子在耶和华—你神所赐你的地上得以长久。
12“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the LORD your God gives you.
13「不可杀人。
13“You shall not murder.
14「不可奸淫。
14“You shall not commit adultery.
15「不可偷盗。
15“You shall not steal.
16「不可作假见证陷害人。
16“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17「不可贪恋人的房屋；也不可贪恋人的妻子、仆婢、牛驴，并他一切所有的。」
17“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male slave, or his female slave, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
18众百姓见雷轰、闪电、角声、山上冒烟，就都发颤，远远地站立，19对摩西说：「求你和我们说话，我们必听；不要神和我们说话，恐怕我们死亡。」20摩西对百姓说：「不要惧怕；因为神降临是要试验你们，叫你们时常敬畏他，不致犯罪。」21于是百姓远远地站立；摩西就挨近神所在的幽暗之中。
18And all the people were watching and hearing the thunder and the lightning flashes, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it all, they trembled and stood at a distance. 19Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but do not have God speak to us, or we will die!” 20However, Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you will not sin.” 21So the people stood at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.
22耶和华对摩西说：「你要向以色列人这样说：『你们自己看见我从天上和你们说话了。23你们不可做什么神像与我相配，不可为自己做金银的神像。24你要为我筑土坛，在上面以牛羊献为燔祭和平安祭。凡记下我名的地方，我必到那里赐福给你。25你若为我筑一座石坛，不可用凿成的石头，因你在上头一动家具，就把坛污秽了。26你上我的坛，不可用台阶，免得露出你的下体来。』」
22Then the LORD said to Moses, “This is what you shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen that I have spoken to you from heaven. 23‘You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves. 24‘You shall make an altar of earth for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you. 25‘And if you make an altar of stone for Me, you shall not build it of cut stones, for if you wield your chisel on it, you will profane it. 26‘And you shall not go up by steps to My altar, so that your nakedness will not be exposed on it.’
