Mordecai’s Greatness
1亞哈隨魯王使旱地和海島的人民都進貢。2他以權柄能力所行的，並他抬舉末底改使他高升的事，豈不都寫在米底亞和波斯王的歷史上嗎？3猶大人末底改作亞哈隨魯王的宰相，在猶大人中為大，得他眾弟兄的喜悅，為本族的人求好處，向他們說和平的話。
1Now King Ahasuerus imposed a tax on the land and the coastlands of the sea. 2And every accomplishment of his authority and power, and the full account of the greatness of Mordecai with which the king honored him, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Media and Persia? 3For Mordecai the Jew was second only to King Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews and in favor with his many kinsmen, one who sought the good of his people and one who spoke for the welfare of his entire nation.
