1And you were dead in your offenses and sins, 2in which you previously walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3Among them we too all previously lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the rest. 4But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7so that in the ages to come He might show the boundless riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
1你們死在過犯罪惡 之中，他叫你們活過來．2那時，你們在其中行事為人隨從今世的風俗、順服空中掌權者的首領，就是現今在悖逆之子心中運行的邪靈．3我們從前也都在他們中間，放縱肉體的私慾，隨著肉體和心中所喜好的去行，本為可怒之子，和別人一樣．4然而神既有豐富的憐憫．因他愛我們的大愛，5當我們死在過犯中的時候，便叫我們與基督一同活過來（你們得救是本乎恩）．6他又叫我們與基督耶穌一同復活，一同坐在天上，7要將他極豐富的恩典，就是他在基督耶穌裏向我們所施的恩慈，顯明給後來的世代看。8你們得救是本乎恩，也因著信，這並不是出於自己，乃是神所賜的．9也不是出於行為，免得有人自誇。10我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌裏造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所豫備叫我們行的。
11Therefore remember that previously you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— 12remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the people of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13But now in Christ Jesus you who previously were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15by abolishing in His flesh the hostility, which is the Law composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two one new person, in this way establishing peace; 16and that He might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the hostility. 17And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; 18for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. 19So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, 20having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, 21in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
11所以你們應當記念，你們從前按肉體是外邦人，是稱為沒受割禮的，這名原是那些憑人手在肉身上稱為受割禮之人所起的．12那時，你們與基督無關，在以色列國民以外，在所應許的諸約上是局外人．並且活在世上沒有指望，沒有神。13你們從前遠離神的人，如今卻在基督耶穌裏，靠著他的血，已經得親近了。14因他使我們和睦，原文作因他是我們的和睦將兩下合而為一，拆毀了中間隔斷的牆．15而且以自己的身體、廢掉冤仇，就是那記在律法上的規條．為要將兩下，藉著自己造成一個新人，如此便成就了和睦．16既在十字架上滅了冤仇，便藉這十字架，使兩下歸為一體，與神和好了．17並且來傳和平的福音給你們遠處的人，也給那近處的人。18因為我們兩下藉著他被一個聖靈所感，得以進到父面前。19這樣、你們不再作外人和客旅，是與聖徒同國，是神家裏的人了．20並且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有基督耶穌自己為房角石．21各或作全房靠他聯絡得合式，漸漸成為主的聖殿．22你們也靠他同被建造，成為神藉著聖靈居住的所在。
