The Death of Moses
1摩西从摩押平原登尼波山，上了那与耶利哥相对的毗斯迦山顶。耶和华把基列全地直到但，2拿弗他利全地，以法莲、玛拿西的地，犹大全地直到西海，3南地和棕树城耶利哥的平原，直到琐珥，都指给他看。4耶和华对他说：「这就是我向亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许之地，说：『我必将这地赐给你的后裔。』现在我使你眼睛看见了，你却不得过到那里去。」5于是，耶和华的仆人摩西死在摩押地，正如耶和华所说的。6耶和华将他埋葬在摩押地、伯·毗珥对面的谷中，只是到今日没有人知道他的坟墓。7摩西死的时候年一百二十岁；眼目没有昏花，精神没有衰败。8以色列人在摩押平原为摩西哀哭了三十日，为摩西居丧哀哭的日子就满了。
1Now Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan, 2and all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the western sea, 3and the Negev and the territory in the Valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. 4Then the LORD said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants’; I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not go over there.” 5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, in accordance with the word of the LORD. 6And He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; but no one knows his burial place to this day. 7Although Moses was 120 years old when he died, his eyesight was not dim, nor had his vigor left him. 8So the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab for thirty days; then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.
9嫩的儿子约书亚；因为摩西曾按手在他头上，就被智慧的灵充满，以色列人便听从他，照着耶和华吩咐摩西的行了。10以后以色列中再没有兴起先知像摩西的。他是耶和华面对面所认识的。11耶和华打发他在埃及地向法老和他的一切臣仆，并他的全地，行各样神迹奇事，12又在以色列众人眼前显大能的手，行一切大而可畏的事。
9Now Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israel listened to him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses. 10Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, 11for all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land— 12and for all the mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.
