Peter and John Arrested
1使徒对百姓说话的时候，祭司们和守殿官，并撒都该人忽然来了。2因他们教训百姓，本着耶稣，传说死人复活，就很烦恼，3于是下手拿住他们；因为天已经晚了，就把他们押到第二天。4但听道之人有许多信的，男丁数目约到五千。
1As they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to them, 2being greatly disturbed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3And they laid hands on them and put them in prison until the next day, for it was already evening. 4But many of those who had heard the message believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
5第二天，官府、长老，和文士在耶路撒冷聚会，6又有大祭司亚那和该亚法、约翰、亚历山大，并大祭司的亲族都在那里，7叫使徒站在当中，就问他们说：「你们用什么能力，奉谁的名做这事呢？」8那时彼得被圣灵充满，对他们说：9「治民的官府和长老啊，倘若今日因为在残疾人身上所行的善事查问我们他是怎么得了痊愈，10你们众人和以色列百姓都当知道，站在你们面前的这人得痊愈是因你们所钉十字架、神叫他从死里复活的拿撒勒人耶稣基督的名。11他是你们匠人所弃的石头，已成了房角的头块石头。12除他以外，别无拯救；因为在天下人间，没有赐下别的名，我们可以靠着得救。」
5On the next day, their rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem; 6and Annas the high priest was there, and Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and all who were of high-priestly descent. 7When they had placed them in the center, they began to inquire, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?” 8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people, 9if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well, 10let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. 11“He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE. 12“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.”
Threat and Release
13他们见彼得、约翰的胆量，又看出他们原是没有学问的小民，就希奇，认明他们是跟过耶稣的；14又看见那治好了的人和他们一同站着，就无话可驳。15于是吩咐他们从公会出去，就彼此商议说：16「我们当怎样办这两个人呢？因为他们诚然行了一件明显的神迹，凡住耶路撒冷的人都知道，我们也不能说没有。17惟恐这事越发传扬在民间，我们必须恐吓他们，叫他们不再奉这名对人讲论。」18于是叫了他们来，禁止他们总不可奉耶稣的名讲论教训人。19彼得、约翰说：「听从你们，不听从神，这在神面前合理不合理，你们自己酌量吧！20我们所看见所听见的，不能不说。」21官长为百姓的缘故，想不出法子刑罚他们，又恐吓一番，把他们释放了。这是因众人为所行的奇事都归荣耀与神。22原来借着神迹医好的那人有四十多岁了。
13Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus. 14And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in reply. 15But when they had ordered them to leave the Council, they began to confer with one another, 16saying, “What are we to do with these men? For the fact that a noteworthy miracle has taken place through them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17“But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let’s warn them not to speak any longer to any person in this name.” 18And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, make your own judgment; 20for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” 21When they had threatened them further, they let them go (finding no basis on which to punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened; 22for the man on whom this miracle of healing had been performed was more than forty years old.
23二人既被释放，就到会友那里去，把祭司长和长老所说的话都告诉他们。24他们听见了，就同心合意地高声向神说：「主啊！你是造天、地、海，和其中万物的，25你曾借着圣灵，托你仆人—我们祖宗大卫的口，说：外邦为什么争闹？万民为什么谋算虚妄的事？26世上的君王一齐起来，臣宰也聚集，要敌挡主，并主的受膏者或译：基督。27希律和本丢·彼拉多，外邦人和以色列民，果然在这城里聚集，要攻打你所膏的圣仆仆：或译子耶稣，28成就你手和你意旨所预定必有的事。29–30他们恐吓我们，现在求主鉴察，一面叫你仆人大放胆量讲你的道，一面伸出你的手来医治疾病，并且使神迹奇事因着你圣仆仆：或译子耶稣的名行出来。」31祷告完了，聚会的地方震动，他们就都被圣灵充满，放胆讲论神的道。
23When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported everything that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. 24And when they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said, “Lord, it is You who MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH AND THE SEA, AND EVERYTHING THAT IS IN THEM,
25who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said,
‘WHY WERE THE NATIONS INSOLENT,
AND THE PEOPLES PLOTTING IN VAIN?
26‘THE KINGS OF THE EARTH TOOK THEIR STAND,
AND THE RULERS WERE GATHERED TOGETHER
AGAINST THE LORD AND AGAINST HIS CHRIST.’
27“For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28to do whatever Your hand and purpose predestined to occur. 29“And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant it to Your bond-servants to speak Your word with all confidence, 30while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” 31And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
25who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said,
‘WHY WERE THE NATIONS INSOLENT,
AND THE PEOPLES PLOTTING IN VAIN?
26‘THE KINGS OF THE EARTH TOOK THEIR STAND,
AND THE RULERS WERE GATHERED TOGETHER
AGAINST THE LORD AND AGAINST HIS CHRIST.’
27“For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28to do whatever Your hand and purpose predestined to occur. 29“And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant it to Your bond-servants to speak Your word with all confidence, 30while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” 31And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
Sharing among Believers
32那许多信的人都是一心一意的，没有一人说他的东西有一样是自己的，都是大家公用。33使徒大有能力，见证主耶稣复活；众人也都蒙大恩。34内中也没有一个缺乏的；因为人人将田产房屋都卖了，把所卖的价银拿来，35放在使徒脚前，照各人所需用的，分给各人。
32And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them. 33And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all. 34For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales 35and lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be distributed to each to the extent that any had need.
36有一个利未人，生在塞浦路斯，名叫约瑟，使徒称他为巴拿巴（巴拿巴翻出来就是劝慰子）。37他有田地，也卖了，把价银拿来，放在使徒脚前。
36Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of Encouragement), 37owned a tract of land. So he sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
