舵槳、船舵

聖經中的器物

方向舵是船尾處的一塊大木板，用來控制船的航向。舵也可以是兩根長槳，在船尾或船頭的兩側各有一根。船上的人左右扳動船舵或舵槳，就能控制船的航向。
