胸袋、胸牌

胸袋是大祭司戴在胸前的一塊帶有刺繡的布，連接在以弗得的肩帶和腰帶之間（關於胸袋和以弗得的連接方式，參以弗得(ephod) 中的描述）。
胸袋呈長方形，長度是寬度的兩倍，對折後變成正方形。經文給出的尺寸是長2虎口，寬1虎口，對折後成為一個邊長1虎口的正方形。（通常認為，1虎口約等於半肘，參、，半肘約25厘米或10英吋）。折疊處在底部，這樣便形成一個口袋，裡面放著烏陵和土明（參烏陵和土明(Urim and Thummim)）。
胸袋上的金槽裡鑲著四行寶石，每行三塊（或三行寶石，每行四塊）。十二塊寶石各不相同，每塊都刻著以色列一個支派的名字。
