불집게

불집게는 U자 모양의 금속 도구였다. 사용하는 사람은 도구의 닫힌 끝 가까이를 잡고, 두 팔을 함께 눌러 뜨거운 숯이나 다른 물건을 집어 올릴 수 있었다. 불집게는 오늘날 털을 뽑거나 가시나 나뭇조각을 빼낼 때 흔히 쓰는 족집게를 크게 만든 것으로 생각할 수 있다.
