재판석, 법정
성경의 기물
재판석은 계단으로 올라가는 높은 단으로, 대개 좌석이 마련되어 있었다. 관리들이 흔히 재판 문제로 회중에게 말할 때 사용하였다. 고린도에서 발굴된 한 재판석(아마 에 언급된 바로 그것일 수도 있다)은 돌덩이들로 받친 작은 단이었으며, 위쪽 둘레에 좁은 난간이 있었다.
