天平
聖經中的器物
天平是稱量物體重量的工具。古代常見的天平是由一根木桿加上兩端的秤盤組成，木桿的中點繫著一根繩子或鏈子，把天平吊起來進行稱重。

用途
使用時，把法碼（或砝碼）放在天平一端的秤盤內，待稱重物品放在另一端的秤盤內。測量者把天平提起來，當木桿與地面平行時，表示兩個秤盤裡的東西重量相同。
