망치
성경의 기물
망치는 길이가 약 30센티미터(1피트)인 연장이었다. 대개 나무로 만든 자루에 돌이나 나무나 (드물게) 쇠로 된 머리를 붙였다. 자루는 망치 머리의 구멍에 끼웠다.

쓰임
망치는 여러 가지로 쓰였는데, 건축용 돌을 깨거나 다듬는 일, 나무에 못이나 말뚝을 박는 일, 땅에 말뚝을 박는 일 등이었다. 대장장이도 뜨거운 쇠를 두드려 모양을 만드는 데 썼다.
