鐮刀

鐮刀是一種比較大的弧形刀具，裝有一個較短的木柄（15—20厘米或6—8英吋），用來割下成熟了的穀物。

用途

使用者將鐮刀貼近地面、以圓弧動作揮舞，將草或麥子割下。使用短柄鐮刀貼近地面工作時，人需要彎下腰來；如果使用長柄鐮刀，則可以站著工作（另參車輪彎刀（戰車武器）（scythe [chariot weapon]））。
