灌溉水渠、运河
圣经中的器物
灌溉水渠是在岩石上凿出来或者在地上挖出来的小水道，把水从河流等较大的水源引到种植庄稼的田地里面。 描述了灌溉水渠的作用：“我如从河里引出来的水道，我如通到乐园的水渠”（《思》）。在浇灌园子时，把水从较大的水渠引到若干条较小的水渠，然后送到园子的各处；这个系统利用重力来输送水。
