瞭望樓
聖經中的器物
瞭望樓是由石頭建造的建築物，通常為長方形，有時是圓形，一般建在葡萄園內部或附近的高地上。瞭望樓高2—5米（6—16英呎），可以通過梯子或臺階爬上去。在葡萄收穫期間，葡萄園的主人、家人或僕人通常會在瞭望樓上過夜，以防動物或盜賊偷吃葡萄。另外，人們也會建造類似的塔樓來看守其他財產，如羊群等。
