瞭望楼
圣经中的器物
瞭望楼是由石头建造的建筑物，通常为长方形，有时是圆形，一般建在葡萄园内部或附近的高地上。瞭望楼高2—5米（6—16英尺），可以通过梯子或台阶爬上去。在葡萄收获期间，葡萄园的主人、家人或仆人通常会在瞭望楼上过夜，以防动物或盗贼偷吃葡萄。另外，人们也会建造类似的塔楼来看守其他财产，如羊群等。
