살진 송아지는 대개 특별한 잔치 때 잡았지만, 살진 새끼 염소는 평소 집안 식사에 쓸 고기를 얻으려고 늘 잡았다. 숫염소의 고기는 짝짓기할 나이가 되어서야 강한 냄새가 나므로, 암수 새끼 염소를 모두 이렇게 썼다.
